Q: How does UVClean work?

A: Our revolutionary UVClean technology cleans even the dirtiest surfaces by using the same powerful UV-C LED lights used in hospitals. UV-C, a short wavelength light invisible to the human eye, disrupts DNA so they can’t function or cause illness.

Q: How long does it take for UV-C to sterilize?

A: We typically recommend slowly sweeping the area that needs to be sanitized for 10 to 20 seconds.

Q: Is UVClean safe?

A: UV-C is an ultraviolet light that has potent cleaning activity and works quickly. When used properly and as suggested, UV-C technology is perfectly safe. Some precautions we recommend are to wear protective equipment to cover your eyes or skin from being exposed to the UV-C light while it is in use. Prolonged unprotected exposure to UV-C is not recommended and can be damaging to skin and eyes.

Q: Is UV-C Harmful?

A: Prolonged exposure (ie. 8 or more hours) to UV-C light will be harmful to humans. As a safety precaution, do not look into the light or use directly on or around the body. 

Q: I noticed a rattle, like something's rolling inside. Is this normal?

A: The gravity positioning sensor inside can make this rattle sound. As long as the wand is positioned facing downwards, the UV lamp will be operational. When the angle is tilted too far upwards, the lamp will automatically turn off. This is designed to protect the eyes from the UV-C lamp.
